Tom Forrest is president and owner of Taillight which he founded in 2000. Taillight is multi-faceted media company creating branded and music driven content across multiple platforms. Taillight has produced over 600 hours of music and event programming, several hundred music videos, (garnering over a billion views) and commercials and thousands of pieces of branded social content. Tom has produced and directed specials, series, events and awards shows for Netflix, Fox, Hallmark, CBS, CBS Sports, NBC, CMT, EPIX, Scripps and VH1. Tom started his career in New York City having been a producer for HBO’s Garth Brooks Live in Central Park, NBC’s Garth Brooks Dublin and Back, HBO’s Janet Jackson Live from MSG and NBC’s first Reba special.
In 2015, Tom co-created and developed an OTT platform to create artist and music driven content promoting Walmart and Walmart brand partners, which gave rise to Taillight’s branded content division creating and executing content and social strategy for brands using artists to drive social engagement.
Under Tom’s leadership, Taillight’s branded and commercial divisions have seen huge growth with Coca- Cola and Lauren Alaina, Jason Aldean and WolfMoon, Brad Paisley and Kingsford, Bobby Bones & Cottonelle, Hallmark with Lindsay Ell, Swisher Sweets with Cardi B and Shaquille O’Neil, Synchrony Financial with Darius Rucker & Lady A as well as Corona and Maren Morris. Past artist driven branded campaigns include Walmart, Dr Pepper, General Mills, Hooters, Logan’s, Dollar General and Kingsford.
Tom has been dedicated ACM Board member for over 5 years and looks forward to helping the ACM realize their vision for the next generation of country music professionals and fans.
